We're Going On A Trip

I've had this little ditty running through my head for the past few says. Doesn't help that da Boo knows all the words and will spontaneously burst out singing it. Bright and early tomorrow morning (ideally), we head out for the last road trip of the summer. We're going off of the tricks and tips from our last trip (although I keep forgetting to get a book on tape...maybe for the return trip). This one isn't too bad, only eight hours. Yeah, eight hours. In the car. With two kids. Now, that's what I call a vacation, folks.

So you won't miss me too much, I am using the magic of Blogger to post even when I'm not at the computer. Now, I can choose the date and time I want something posted. Pretty spiffy, eh? There will even be a new Soap Opera Sunday, this one about a friend who was more of an enemy. See, all my other good dating stories? Well, their spouses or family members read my blog and it might be a little awkward to post those. Even if I change the names, there will be people who know who I'm talking about. So I'm taking a break from the dating drama...for now.

In the mean time...

Where would you go on your dream vacation?

Woo Hoo I'm the first comment, I'd better make this quick so I really am when I post this.
Tahiti, I think, somewhere WARM where I can have tons of fresh fruit and it's not packed with tourists. The pictures I have seen of Tahiti make me think that that would be my dream vacation.

Melissa and I are looking forward to your next Soap Opera Sunday. Melissa checks your blog all the time. She loves your stories. You are very wise not to tell date stories about my very interesting family. :) Thank you!

There are so many places I want to go.
Hawaii, I feel like the last person on the planet who hasn't been there.
Europe, cause living there for 3 years when I was kid leaves with the ability to say I have been to Rome, um, but I don't remember it!
Good luck on your um, "vacation".

We just got back from a trip with ELEVEN little kids! So, so, so stressful! We all had fun, though.

I would love to go on a WWII tour...Pearl Harbor, Normandy, Germany, Iwo Jima, POW and Concentration camps, The Bataan Penninsula etc...

I know, I am a nerd, but that is my dream vacation! I might have to win the lottery first!

I have no clue...A vacation with the whole family and one with just my hubby. A Disney cruise with the kids would be fun. I would love to go to NYC, Hawaii, Alaska, okay anywhere with my Hubby.

Looking forward to Soap Opera Sunday. Seems like nobody's been playing for awhile, and I miss it.

My dream vacation is Banff, at Lake Louise, in Canada...mostly becuase the other places on my list sound too hot to visit right now.

I'd like to take Todd to all of my favorite places along the East Coast. He's already been to the Outerbanks in North Carolina so I'd love to start in DC and then head north, working our way up through New England. There's nothing like the leaves in the fall and fireflies at night.

My dream trip would be New Zealand. It has all the great things about Australia there but without all the deadly bugs and animals. Maybe for a mission when Tim and I are old.:)

Somewhere warm, where I can lounge on the balcony of a luxury condo and watch the ocean as I sip a smoothie.
And sleep in every day.
I don't care where it is as long as I can sleep in every day.
And have room service.
