I'm Too Tired To Make These Into Actual Posts
You know you've been playing too much Rock Band when your three-year-old busts out with the chorus to "Eye of the Tiger" during dinner.
About the sexiest thing I've ever seen is the Man holding our baby. He's even sexier when the other hand is carrying a diaper and wipes.
The Man is blonde and blue-eyed. I am (or at least was) blonde and blue-eyed. Da Boo and the Boy are both blonde and blue-eyed. Baby is a brunette with green/hazel eyes. I think I might have some 'splaining to do...
Grandma G has gone home. Today is her wedding anniversary (Happy Anniversary!). I have seven days before my mom arrives. I don't know how I am going to survive. Please send fudge.
I'd like to get the Boy's hearing tested so I have solid proof that is he just ignoring me.
Baby has already acquired a few nicknames, one of which is "hobbit," due to the amount of hair on this kid, especially on her ears.
I've completely lost my appetite. It might be the pain killers or the constant...um, chest pain. I just don't want to eat anything besides chocolate pudding.

What do you eat when you don't want to eat anything?

How was your Thanksgiving? Did ya burn anything? I almost did...but just for the record, the smoke alarm was going off because its also heat sensitive and beeps whenever the oven is at 450 degrees. Then, toward the end of dinner, Boo realizes that I never made the stuffing. Oops! I promised to make some tonight when we eat leftovers.
Want to see some pictures?

In honor of Thanksgiving, Boo decided she needed to dress up as an Indian. But not just any Indian...an Indian Princess. And the Boy is just being his usual self in the background there...geesh.

Of course we played Rock Band before and after. The Co-ed asked the Boy to make a "cool face" as he wore the guitar and this is what he did. Not so much "cool" as "constipated."
The Man and the kidlets went to Costco a few days ago and brought me back these:

Rather pretty, aren't they? The colors are perfect for the season. But did you notice those little yellow things down at the bottom there? They aren't flowers. They're peppers! Interesting...and actually, kinda cool, too!
Now I'm off to eat the rest of the sweet potatoes for lunch...

What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

I know, I know...it's not Friday anymore. But Friday was a very rough day...I could list all the reasons but I won't. (Actually, I did but then read back through them and decided I was just whining so trust me...bad day). And a very distracting day but we'll get to that.
You may be sick of seeing about how much fun we have while playing Rock Band but well, my blog! Hehehehe!

What we like to do totrick encourage the kids is have one parent play an instrument while letting the kids play, too. Only we have it on one-player mode. They don't know that they aren't really playing and they have a great time. You'll notice that the Boy is actually wearing his eye patch while playing the drums. We still have to keep that up for another week and then we'll see if there's been progress. Da Boo is the backup dancer apparently. And see her sparkly earrings? Crazy Grampa gave her clip on earrings while he was visiting. She rarely takes them off.

Here's the Man playing with the house band. And there were pictures of me playing with the kids but oh, shucks! I had red-eye and I can't remember how to fix that in Photoshop. So sorry. But not really.
So here's what's been distracting: Wii Fit. My brother found them in stock and immediately called me to see if I still wanted one. YES!! It arrived on Thursday but I kept it wrapped because I had a LOT to do and knew I would get distracted (because it's so pretty...). The Man opened it last night. It's fun! As I type, the kids are taking turns playing the balance games as a reward for good behavior. And if you are having a bad day (like I was), just watch your beloved husband attempt to play the hula hoop game. You will nearly bust a vein laughing!
Remember last week's memorial? Well, I'm still not over the loss. In fact, I've dreamt twice that we found Mee Mee. I was so excited about it that when I woke up, I went and checked those locations...just in case. No Mee Mee. *sigh*

Last week, I vowed to brag about my kids more. This week is no exception.
They finished the first round of swimming lessons last week. Here are some highlights:

"Look, Mom! I can go in the pool without screaming in fear of my life and clinging to you like a bad pair of underwear!" His teacher is just on the edge of this picture, ready to help out, but I liked that she let him do it by himself for a little bit.

Here's a rare sea creature: a purple Floating Boo. It's rare because the amount of giggling it does gives away it's hiding place. This is something I've been trying to teach da Boo every time we get in a swimming pool. I'm glad she's finally gotten the hang of it. Next step: float longer by not giggling so much.

Here are my Rock Stars in Training. They aren't playing the game, just being silly, making up a song and playing with the instruments. I find it interesting that neither of them choose to play with the drums...I thought percussion was in their blood!

FHE: I Love to See the Temple
After a long hiatus, I finally got around to doing a Family Home Evening post! Actually, we delayed FHE for a night, having it on Tuesday instead of the usual Monday because...well, Monday evening, I was crying and emotional so the Man put the kids to bed instead of having a lesson. Tonight? Much better! Da Boo brought home a temple-themed activity from church on Sunday so I used that and the recent Friend as my inspiration.
And if you don't want to read about it, there are a couple new cakes posted.
Opening Song: Twinkle Little Star. Surprise, surprise.
Opening Prayer: The Man.
Lesson: We talked for a moment about temples and what da Boo learned in Sunday School. I tell ya, she gets more than you think she does, especially because she is not the best at sitting still and paying attention.

Using the Friend, the kids piled on top of me (of course) and we read Just Like Mommy. I thought it would be fun because it uses simple pictures in place of common words. Even the Boy was able to get these, although there was an almost heated debate as to whether or not the temple was another castle. I showed him the drawbridge on the castle and then pointed out that there was no drawbridge on the temple. So for future reference...if you see a structure and don't know if it's a castle or a temple, look for a drawbridge.
Closing Song: I Love to See the Temple.
Closing Prayer: Me.
Activity #1: It's been nice in the evenings, so the Man took the kids to the park. I was invited but really, the draw of a few minutes of peace and quiet (and the possibility of maybe using the bathroom by myself) was too much of a draw. Still, I eventually grabbed the camera and joined them.
Treats: Earlier in the day, to celebrate the success of a topic I promised not to mention, we baked chocolate chip cookies. Mmmmm...nothing like warm cookies and milk!

Activity #2: For Father's Day, the Man got Rock Band. The kids have been dying to play it more so we let them have at it tonight. I love how da Boo got so into it, that her tongue is sticking out as she concentrates. (And after the kids went to bed, we played a little more...hehehehehe...)
