Time to Make the Donuts!

Being the loving mother I am, I determined that store-bought doughnuts were not good enough for my precious babies! So I made my own.

That simple statement does not convey to you the intense process of getting the recipe, contacting my wiser older sister for clarification (seriously, just what is scalded milk? Why not say "simmer milk" instead?), making the dough, setting my alarm for an early morning, getting out of bed (only to realize that in the process of setting my alarm, I also reset time itself and it was actually a hour earlier), calling my sister twice more for help, seriously doubting this whole "homemaker" label, rolling, cutting, frying, covering in cinnamon sugar and finally, serving it to my loved ones.

I was not able to take a picture of the doughnuts, carefully displayed, because my family was too hungry. So here is something better: the kiddos enjoying them!

And here is a picture of what happened while attempting this simple domestic task:

Poor finger:( Oh, and tell the truth, we know you wanted these homemade donuts too (they were not just for the kids right?!) I just say that b/c I always think I am making something great for P and Steve and it ends up me who was really craving it!

Jessiemadoodle, the kiddos are getting so big. Boo is the spitting image of another cute blonde that I know. And Clavin looks just like his handsome daddy. Next time you come back to town, can you make me some donuts? lol
A little trick, take Grands biscuits, flatten them a little, and poke a hole in the middle. Fry them up and your good to go:)

Wanna hear something weird? I use Photoshop 7 to edit and size my pictures and since I don't understand all the settings on my camera, I usually have to color correct some things. So when I was editing the finger picture, I selected Auto Color and the results were seriously freaky! It's looked like a severed finger! Really creepy.
