Due to the Boy's natural ability to utterly destroy objects simply by being in the same room with them, we are constantly repairing things from toys to eye glasses. His last pair of glasses broke so frequently that I became quite good friends with the gentleman at the eye clinic that repaired them. So when his prescription changed in January, I paid the heaps of extra money for better frames. These are so bendy that they can almost be wadded up and stuffed in your pocket. Nearly indestructible. I say nearly because...
*sigh*

Thats why I don't think little kids should have bad eyesight. glasses are just too expensive and fragile to trust them with.
Oh my! Sorry to hear that he broke those glasses. :( That is no fun for you or him!
Holy cow!
I used to work at a popular 1-hr place, and I hate to admit it, but that happens a lot with the kids, even those with the "indestructible" frames.
Doh!
So sorry. I know they aren't cheap. Would it make you feel better to know that my husband does to contacts what your kid does to glasses? He burns through those things so quick... we're lucky to be related to an eye doctor. He at least gives us a discount!
Aw Man! The woes of motherhood! I'm sorry!
super bummer...one of my nephews wears glasses and i am a nervous wreck every time he is rough housing at my house...don't want them to break on my watch!
I broke both pairs of my prescription glasses in exactly the same place as your boy....both within a week of each other. I have a very similar picture on my blog, except there are 2 pairs of glasses...~~sigh~~
bet you can't wait til he's old enough for contacts :o)
