I've been feeling the need to make a few changes around here lately. Some of those changes involve LED lighting in interesting locations.
Others are caused by frogs.
I like them. I wonder how long it will take for the Man to notice. I did these things while he was out of town...kinda like when I let Boo get a hamster. While he doesn't exactly fear change, the Man really resists it. Especially changes in things that he doesn't really care about, like curtains and wall paint. Or the kids' bathroom. But I feel these changes are necessary. After all, this is our house. We're not renting or house-sitting or squatting. So why not make it into a place where we'd like to live?
My very next post will be #600. Of course, that doesn't include the ones I've deleted...but still. Quite the milestone. I probably won't celebrate it. Well, maybe just a little. With chocolate. Keep an eye out for a review/giveaway to come!
What changes do you want to make in your house?

I'm not really sure. I do want to redo the bedroom, but it gets so expensive.
600!?!?! Wow! That is awesome! Congrats! I am in the mod for some changes.

Landscaping. A total overhaul.
Which basically would mean ANY landscaping, because the backyard is nothing but a weed patch with grass in the middle. That's what I'd change. And hope to some day.
I love changes! They do get expensive though. If I could right now..there's a few rooms of carpet I want changed out and some painting done.
My list is so long. So maybe we'll move instead. That would be easier, right?
Right?
Sigh.
Just once, when I ask the kids to clean the bathroom, I wish they would actually clean the bathroom.
So I guess the change I would like is a clean bathroom.
And granite countertops.
600 posts?! That is awesome!
My list is horribly long and horribly expensive...
remodel the kitchen
remodel both bathrooms
new windows
new carpet
stucco the outside of the house
new roof
add a garage and another bedroom
new driveway
Maybe we would be better off just building a new one! :)
Most days I just want to demolish the whole thing and start over. But right now I'm trying to talk the husband into new carpet in our newly-opened-no-longer-renting basement. Because I just don't love the pee stains from our previous renters dog. Wish me luck....
My list of to-dos and changes about the house will probably take a decade to accomplish. Sad, considering I don't expect to be in the house that long!
DH is resistant to changes in the house as well. Mostly it's because he's lived in it for several years without needed such things as paint or even shelves.
My ideal would be to replace all of the icky, 90s, gold-tone door knobs with brushed nickel knobs. At an estimated cost of $500 that's never going to happen.
my first change would be the cabinets in the kitchen. But we are hoping to sell the house first!
I would REALLY like to get a huge, Zebra striped rug for the living room. I've been firmly vetoed.
