Tempted

I am posting on my blog as a way to distract myself.

There are a dozen chocolate chip cookies downstairs and they are all calling my name.

"Have some!" you might say cheerfully. "You deserve it for being so completely awesome!"

And you're right. But I've ready had eight cookies. And frankly, I'm feeling a little bloated. They still call, still attempting to entice me to my doom. I'm trying to think of some famous line from Shakespeare or something like that...where the hero is on the brink of self-destruction and cries out mightily...like "Why must thou vex me so?" or "Be gone, my tormentor!" or maybe it's "You have no power over me." (Bonus points to whomever can cite the movie reference on that last one!)

Or maybe I should just give in, eat the whole load of them. Really show them who's the boss. Right. And maybe I ought to finish off the kids' Halloween candy, too, before it starts giving me attitude...

After all, you ARE eating for two......

And babies like chocolate!

In fact, I heard that the more chocolate you eat while pregnant, the more likely the baby is to sleep through the night at an earlier age!

OK, I made that up, however, wouldn't it be really cool if it were true?

I hope this helped. Blog temptations away. What a great idea. But now I am hungry for that left over cake in the kitchen. I better just stay right here. :)

That last quote, it's The Labrinth right? I don't know how to spell the title but I know my David Bowie movies!

I have to laugh at your post because last night Brett and I finished up a batch of cookies I'd made the night before-I'll be honest too, I ate most of them myself! I'm not ashamed either, they were delicious!

Yes it totally is the Labrinth!! I just watched it in celebration of Halloween.

Be strong! It's that many less miles you'll have to run after the baby comes to work them off.

That thought has killed many a craving for me because I sort of passionately hate doing cardio.

Ummmmmm, I'm eating chocolate peanut butter ice cream, so perhaps I'm not the best example.

Ha ha! I find stuffing candy bars down my throat is the only way to silence them.

Yeah...so I ate 'em. But I resisted until after church today - and I forgot to myself a snack so by the time I got home I was ravenous and the cookies were the first thing I saw when I got home. But I did let the Man and the kids have some...well, they got one each but STILL! I shared! :)

It is amazing to me how NOT tempting cookies sound. I hope there will soon come a time when they are again tempting, or when any food sounds tempting. It is true though, you do deserve them based on pure awesomeness! Besides in one more month you'll have to worry about the calories more again. So, I say, enjoy! And I say that what you say, is what I say. :)

I love baked goods.......so so love them, but I hate it when I eat so much I feel yucky...there is a fine line there, you know. When I know I want to eat and it is there I send a plate to the neighbors house, freeze them for a different day, or, when I have major willpower to kick my own butt, I THROW THEM AWAY. SOmetimes it feels good.

But you do need to accompany your milk with something, right? You need milk, you are pg and your baby needs milk too! So a cookie to make you good and thirsty so you will drink more milk is a good thing! Go ahead!
