Oh, yes! I remember. I went to the Emergency Room.
While I decorated the cake, I was having so many Braxton-Hicks contractions, it seemed like they never stopped. But that wasn't all. Baby wasn't really moving much. Normally, she gives me a good kick periodically just to remind me
Yeah. Not fun. Even after laying down for a bit, I was getting nothing. So off to the ER we went!
When they first strapped me in to the monitors, the nurse was having a hard time finding the heartbeat. My heart was pounding but she couldn't hear a little one. She kept turning up the volume and checking again. Finally, there she was!
They kept me about a hour for observation and then sent me home. Oh, and all those Braxton-Hicks contractions I was having? Turns out they aren't the fake kind! Those were real contractions! Just not strong enough to do anything besides annoy me. And I still get to have lots of them.
Oh, the joys of Motherhood.

Oh, Jessica, I am glad that she is OK!!!
Yikes! That is a wee bit too exciting. Tell your little drama queen in training that is her ONE large drama she is allowed to have, besides her sweet, uneventful entrance into this world.
Oh, how scary! I'm glad to hear everything is OK.
I think you need to lay down and have everyone wait on you for the next several weeks.
If I lived closer I would bring you a casserole and some homemade fudge.
I am so glad everything is okay!!!
No fun for you though.
WOW! What a crazy night! I am so glad that everything turned out okay. This little girl is sure anxious to meet her fun family. :)
How scary!!! These last few weeks can be nail biters! Put your feet up and let me know if I can help you with anything. Seriously!
Glad she is ok. How scary for you though! I agree with everyone else, put your feet up and try to relax. Elizabeth did that to me all the time, she scared the crap out of me.....but she was a super easy baby when she got here.....so hopefully she will be a laid back baby for you!
Glad all is well with #3. That's too scary.
I am so glad you and the baby are safe! I now think the she will come before your scheduled c section. Have a restful Thanksgiving, don't stand for too long in the kitchen!
Glad all is well:) Nothing like a little good excitement!
I blog-hopped from TJ's website. This is hilarious. I love how you started "I delivered...a cake." Using the word delivered was genius. And then, to not end up getting to deliver a baby that night was a let down for you, I'm sure.
So, the next time I have a baby, I am TOTALLY stealing this post idea of "What did YOU do last night?"
Oh, and I love how you say pretty please leave comments. On my blog I beg people to delurk as well. : )
