A Mothering Moment?

So...I'm sick. Still. This has been dragging out for nearly three weeks! I went to the doctor for the second time today and now have two new prescriptions, both of which make it hazardous to operate heavy machinery. There goes my guest appearance at the rendering plant!

I left church early on Sunday because I thought that the other members of the congregation would much rather hear the speakers as opposed to my constant coughing. When my loving family returned home at the usual time, I may or may not have been passed out in bed, with more than one medication in my system, humidifier cranked up to "Tropical Rain Forest during Monsoon Season", and pillows over my head. This is what happened:

Kids: (much noise and adulation over church being over for another week)
The Man: Hey, you need to be quiet! Mom is asleep upstairs!
Kids: (blinking in disbelief) Mom is in bed? But she hasn't made our lunch yet...

At least they miss me when I'm gone, right?

Don't those moments make you feel so loved? Awhile ago, my youngest told me that it would be sad if I died because then who would make dinner?

Yeah. I felt so loved. Glad I'm good for something around here.

Bwaaaaaaahhhhh ha haaaa haaaaa!
Kids are so kind aren't they!

My husband told me what to fix for Sunday dinner...as he left me writhing on my death bed. I thought that was very helpful of him!

I've been sick for the last week. I thought for sure that it was only a matter of minutes before I was better. So, maybe not? I hope you get feeling better soon. I hope I get feeling better soon, too. ;o)

Hope you feel better soon! I hate being sick and having to take care of little people. It hasn't happened a lot thank goodness but makes me grateful for my health when it does that is for sure!!! I can't imagine moms that are sick or in pain every day! I would be a crazy lady for sure!

Weren't you glad it was Sunday and there was other staff on hand and a place for the noise to go for a little while? I sure wish we could "call in sick." Moms never get sick days. Or PTO. Or raises...
Hope you feel better soon!

I was getting worried cuz you haven't answered the phone or returned my calls.
I started thinking I had the wrong number.
REST!
that is the only real way to get better. (I've been sick 2 weeks now)
Saw a book for you... get well we'll talk soon.
