A Mothering Moment by Jessica G.

You can't really bond with your baby until she has spit up in your mouth.

I've brushed my teeth three times and I'm still gagging.

I've had some spit up drop in my eye and my mouth--but not a ton. I personally like breast milk spit up from my own baby. NOT TO EAT but I love the smell and I am really n ot gaggy at all about it. I am weird ..I know this.

You know, joining the blogging world has brought up new fears about having babies that I never knew existed.

Thank you for that.

I can't say that I've ever had that happen.

My oldest son spit up all over my brother's face one time. Now THAT was funny! (In my defense, I did warn him that CJ had just eaten, but he still felt the need to lift him in the air above his head while tickling him)

Well.....if you have a little boy, and you really want to bond, he may accidentally squirt while you change your diaper and you might feel it in your mouth.

Been there.....done that.....

Oh, well in that case, I have totally bonded with BOTH of my kids.

ramsam - been there but he didn't get my mouth...just my hair. And the curtains. And the chair next to the changing table.

Congratulations. Here's to more, um, bonding. And may you have plenty of mouthwash on hand.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has experienced that!
