I need a raise...

Moments ago, the Boy runs off to the bathroom. I didn't think much of it; he's been completely self-sufficient for over a year now. But I did notice how he sounded much more...splashy...than usual. Then he calls out to me. He peed on the floor.

There was no accident. No wetting his pants, because he had already pulled those down. His reason why he did that? "Just because."

So I made him clean it up and disinfect the floor. And now he will be spending some time in his room "just because."

You know what would really help me remain sane? A Sony Pocket Reader. Yep. If I had one of those neat little books-on-a-mini-computer things, then I could just lock myself in my room and not come out until the Man gets home.

Would you like one, too? Well, guess what? Shauna is giving one away on her book blog! Check it out!

(But if you win it, you have to let me borrow it the next time the Boy does something "just because.")

I can see why people would like those e book readers but I don't like them. I LOVE my books. Turning the pages snuggling down under the covers. The smell the feel.... With those e-devices it's just not the same. Although I can see paper books going the way of the cassette tapes. I will hang on to the ones I have.

I thought I'd feel that way about losing my books, too, but then a friend let me borrow her Kindle. It was pretty cool! I like seeing my progress and they have a progress bar at the bottom. I don't know much about the Sony version, though.

Well, at least he's not full of lame excuses.

Oh the joys of being a mother to boys! I've had a few of those experiences!

I recently realized that the taller they get, the worse their aim. It was a very depressing thought.

With a house full of boys, I just have to say that that is pretty typical! :) I hope that it doesn't happen again for your sake, but I bet that it will. Oh well, we love them anyway!!! :D I hope you win the nifty book computer!

One of the many joys of having boys. We dealt with that yesterday. Sigh...

I'm sure that I can be heard throughout the neighborhood yelling, "watch what your penis is doing!" Yep, my son goes hands-free, just leans in...I've never wanted his growth to be stunted until I just now considered how stinky my toilet surround rug will be as he gets taller. If I designed my own house I'd put in a urinal, one with a bullseye painted around the drain.
